A Day in Androbel: Update (Spanish Version)

Hola!

Hoy les queria hablar sobre unos cambios que estan pasando en Androbel. Como muchos de ustedes saben, Androbel estuvo planificado inicialmente para ser una tiene online con una variedad de ropa y accesorios. Bueno, lo he pensado muchisimo, y aunque Androbel como tienda, no cerrara, me estare enfocando en otros proyectos como este blog y ofreciendo servicios profesionales. La tienda online quedara con la ropa que me queda y en el futuro para piezas especiales que me llamen la atencion como por ejemplo: las joyas de Tatiana Cruz o la linea Ladzal Cah pero no traere ropa muy comercial, creo que mejor le puedo dejar ese trabajito a las super tiendas. En verdad si me encanta la moda por eso sigo con este blog y estoy comenzando a ofrecer servicios en la industria de la moda pero en verdad no creo que tener una tienda es mi llamado (hablare sobre esto en otra entrada <3).

Bueno ahora que ya saben mas sobre el viejo Androbel, quiero hablarles un poco sobre el nuevo Androbel!

Androbel es un destino de Moda – Negocios  y la Vida.

Con el blog, quiero escribir sobre estilo personal, belleza, salud, ejercicios, musica, libros, y en verdad de cualquier cosa que nosotras, las mujeres tenemos preguntas al respecto. Hay muchisimas cosas pasando alrededor del mundo y quiero crear un espacio en donde comienzas o terminas tu dia con una sonrisa.

El lado comerciante de Androbel consistira de:

• Entradas de blogger (styled products, sponsored posts, product placement, giveaway)
• Asesoria de moda para individuos (personal shopper, orginazadora de closets, asesoria de imagen)
• Asesoria de moda para marcas/tiendas (prevision de tendencias, viajes de compras, in-store merchandising, photo shoot styling)
• Consultoria de negocios
• Administracion de cuentas de social media (facebook, twitter, pinterest, instagram, administracion de blog)
• Mini tienda online

A Day In Androbel: Update

Hi!

Today I wanted to talk about Androbel and the changes that are happening. As some of you may know, Androbel was intended to be solely an online boutique offering awesome clothing and accessories. Well, I have really thought about this and although Androbel will not be closing, I will be shifting my focus more towards the blog and different services. I will keep the online store for special pieces that catch my eye. I’m interested in handmade products; pieces that have a meaning behind, is what I will keep bringing to the store little by little. For now, you have some clothes and then the handmade jewelry from Ecuador and the handmade pieces from Guatemala. I do love fashion which is why I’m doing the blog and services surrounding fashion but I just don’t think having an online boutique is what I was really meant to do. (I will talk about this in another post <3).

Well, now that you know about the status of old Androbel, I wanted to introduce to you, the new Androbel!

Androbel is a Fashion – Business – Life destination.

With the blog, I (Belen) intend to write about personal style, beauty, health, fitness, music, books and just about anything and everything that us, girls, have questions about.There are countless things happening in the world around us therefore my goal with this blog is to create a space where I can impact someone’s life. To create a space where someone can get lost and just… smile.

The business side of Androbel consists of:

• Blogger posts (styled products, sponsored posts, product placement, giveaway)
•  Fashion consulting for individuals (personal shopper, wardrobe consulting, closet organizing)

“You are what you…”

Well Hello!

With family in town is kind of hard keeping organized but thankfully I have a 9-5 job (for now) that keeps me away during the day so that I can actually get some work done and in that time I find little breaks in which I do this 🙂

As I mentioned here, I had class Friday night and Saturday morning. Although I love waking up early because I love how it feels when everyone else is asleep, there is something different about waking up to an alarm because you have to go to class! haha but, nonetheless I like it anyways. For class, I used to wear sweatpants and t-shirt when I was in high school but that just as “we are what we eat” I really think “we act how we dress”. If I want to lay around all day, sweatpants do the trick but if I want to get something done… this works best.

Teniendo a familia en la casa es poco dificil seguir con mi cronograma de trabajo pero por ahora tengo un trabajo de 9-5 que me obliga a no estar en la casa por el dia entonces puedo ser un poco productiva, ya que en momentos en los cuales no tengo nada que hacer… puedo hacer esto 🙂

Como lo dije aqui, este fin de semana tuve clases el Viernes en la noche y el Sabado en la manana. Aunque me gusta despertarme temprano porque me encanta como se siente cuando todo el mundo duerme, hay algo super diferente al despertarte gracias a una alarma porque tienes que ir a clases! jajaja pero de igual forma, me gusta despertar super temprano. Cuando estaba en el colegio, me encantaba ir con calentadores (sudaderas) a clases pero ahora, al igual que la gente dice que uno es lo que come, creo que uno actua como se viste. Si quiero estar tirada en la cama todo el dia, unos calentadores van super bien pero si en verdad quiero trabajar… algo asi funciona mucho mejor.

Yea, I make funny faces when I have my picture taken. I find it very uncomfortable.

Me da mucha verguenza que me tomen fotos, y estas caras me salen muchisimo!

What I wore

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend; I did 🙂 I had class Friday and Saturday so I’m a little tired but it was still fun! Some of my family came into town and tonight my cousin arrives, so this will be a crazy week too. I kind of like crazy. It keeps me moving. Keeps me focused.

Last Thursday, we attended a networking event and met some cool people from the Miami area. All very young and creative 🙂 I posted a picture on my instagram about a little painting that was gifted to me; that’s the kind of creative I’m talking about. Cardboard, paint and a brush. Pretty cool!  This is what I wore:

Espero que todos hayan tenido un buen fin de semana. Yo tuve clases el Viernes y Sabado pero igual fue super divertido aunque estoy un poco cansada hoy! Ayer llegaron mis tios a la casa y hoy viene mi prima entonces esta semana tambien sera un poco loca jajaja pero en verdad me gusta loca. Me hace organizarme mejor.

El Jueves, fuimos a un evento de networking y conocimos a gente muy creativa 🙂 En mi instagram puse una foto de un mini cuadro; carton, pintura y un pincel es lo unico que necesita alguna gente para ser super creativos. Super cool! Este fue mi look 🙂

Life: 3 Qualities for Success

Hello!

Ok. I apologize about this week’s crazy posting. Life posts are usually on Tuesdays but like I said here, this week was a little crazy, so I guess this week we have 2 “life” stories.

On Wednesday, I started classes again (I’m almoost done. yay!) and for the 1st class, my professor asked us what qualities we thought every entrepreneur or every professional should possess. Of course everyone said: intelligence, vision, drive, energy, etc. and then I think someone said, success can’t be taught, it’s in you.

Well, my professor then picked the 3 top qualities, he has seen prevail through-out his entire career and he numbered them like this:

1. Passion

2.Work Hard

3.Work Smart

“With passion comes persistence but you have nothing if you don’t work hard but it doesn’t matter if you work smart if you don’t work smart”  he said.  Genius. It’s actually real simple, yet no one in the class ever mentioned “work smart”. Funny thing is, passion can’t be taught and your work ethic can’t be taught either so when the guy in the class said: “success can’t be taught” he was almost right. The only thing that can be taught is: the process of working smart.

Perdon que esta semana he estado un poco loca con las entradas en el post. Normalmente los Martes hago los posts sobre la vida pero supongo que esta semana como les dije que iba a estar un poco loca, habran 2 jaja.

El Miercoles comenze clases otra vez (ya casi termino woooho) y para el primer dia de clases, nuestro profesor nos pregunto que cualidades pensabamos que eran necesarias para que una persona triumfe en el mundo de los negocios. Obviamente que todo el mundo en la clase dijo cosas como: inteligencia, vision, motivacion, enerfia, etc. y alguien en la clase dijo que el triumfo en los negocios no se puede ensenar.

De ahi, el profesor escogio 3 cualidades que el ha visto que han funcionado mas durante toda su carrera profesional, y las numero asi:

1. Pasion

2. Trabajar duro

3. Trabajar inteligentemente/ estrategicamente.

Y luego dijo algo asi: “Con pasion viene la persistencia, pero no se logra nada si no se trabaja duro pero al trabajar duro no consigues nada si no trabajas inteligentemente.” En verdad parece super simple pero por alguna razon, nadie en la clase mencione la caracteristica #3. Entonces, cuando el chico en la clase dijo que el triumfo en los negocios no se puede ensenar, estuvo casi 100% correcto. Lo unico que se puede ensenar son las estrategias de como trabajas.

A Day in Androbel: Lynn University Fashion Show

Sorry, I was missing yesterday… I’ve been working on some “Blogging” things. Hopefully everything works out!

On Tuesday, I attended Lynn University’s Annual Fashion Show. Lynn University is where I graduated college from and I love the school because it inspired me and made me believe in my dreams. I was so happy when they asked me if I would like to feature some Androbel’s clothing on the show! I met with the stylist, Aimee Austin a couple of times to get everything in order. I wasn’t able to take pictures with my camera but, the photographer at the show was able to capture some moments. Enjoy!

Hola! Perdon que ayer no estuve por aqui pero estaba haciendo algunas cosas sobre el blog. Espero que todo salga bien 🙂

El Martes estuve en el Fashion Show de Lynn University que fue donde me gradue de la Universidad y en verdad le tengo mucho carino porque fue el lugar donde me inspire y me ayudaron a creer en mis suenos. Cuando me pidieron si podia dar algunos productos de Androbel para usarlos me puse super feliz! Me reuni con la estilista Aimee Austin para poner todo en orden; no pude tomar fotos con mi camara pero aqui tienen algunas que tomo el fotografo del show. Disfruten!

I interviewed Aimee because when I met her she was so nice and I loved the way she worked so I wanted to learn a little more about her.

1. Why fashion? What does fashion mean to you?

Fashion means everything to me. No one knows how much dedication, passion, and motivation it takes to be in the fashion industry. I love how it’s something only people in the industry can understand. I’ve been into fashion since I was a toddler, I would glue fabric together to make outfits for my Barbies, and then when I went into High school I took fashion class, and learned how to sew. My first fashion show I was 15, and I made all my outfits with “recyclables”. I remember a made a skirt out of cut up soda cans and hot glue. Fashion is expression, personality, and confidence. Everyone wears sweats pants, jeans, or tank tops but to someone who is in the fashion world everything is another way of showing a different side of your, and everything has potential to do it, even sweat pants.

2. High fashion or everyday/street fashion?

I’m from Miami, so definitely STREET FASHION!

 3. What’s your dream job?

I want to be stylist. I don’t know of what yet(magazines,shows,,celebs,etc) but I’ll style everything and anything until I find out.

4. Where do you find inspiration?

I am from Miami and am from a mixed background so I have always been inspired by different cultures and my environment. Also by my mood some days I feel edgy and urban,other days I feel girly, and my mom has alot to do with it too. No one knows but majority of the time I am wearing things from her closet

5. And a fun question: mojitos or cosmopolitans?

Mojitos!

Day Off Look

Thursday. So fast. Every Monday I write down a list of things I have to finish and although I’ve been doing a good job this week, I feel like it has gone by waaaay too fast and now I have to prepare for the weekend!

These pictures are from 2 weeks ago I think. I wore it on an easy, lazy Sunday. As some of you may already know, I love everything soft, loose and extremely comfortable and this outfit is no different. I love shorts and the print on this pair is really cool, the fabric is stretchy and soft. The top is really, super , super soft and I love the flowy fi as well as the vibrant color.

Anyway, on Saturday we will be doing a pop-up shop at Blo in Brickell, Miami. If you are here, come by 2-5pm for lots of good stuff!

Jueves. Que rapido!! Todos los Lunes hago una lista de todas las cosas que tengo que hacer y aunque esta semana me ha ido bien con la lista, siento que se ha pasado demasiado rapido y ahora me tengo que preparar para el fin de semana.

Estas fotos son de hace mas o menos 2 semanas, en un Domingo relax. Como algunas de ustedes ya deben de saber lo mucho que me gusta la ropa floja, suave y comoda… este look es totalmente eso. Los shorts me encantan de por si pero estos son super cool por el estampado que llevan y tambien la tela es stretch y super comoda. La camiseta es super, hiper suave y me encanta como queda asi de floja y el color feliz!

Este Sabado estaremos en Blo de Brickell, Miami haciendo un mini pop-up store. Si estan por el area pasen por ahi de 2-5pm habran muchas cosas lindas!!

A Day in Androbel: Stones & Energies

Hello!

Yes!! I have finally been able to finish these pictures and descriptions for the store that I mentioned on this post, and I’m so happy about it!

I picked this necklace to show on the blog today because as I fell in love with the meaning of the stones.

First, the Moon Stone. Famous for reflecting our internal being. The color and luminosity of the stone changes depending on our emotional state. When around positivism the stone reflects a blue or violet color but when entering a negative place or mood it turns towards grayish colors. This stone is perfect to detect the kind of mood you are in, the type of people you surround yourself with and the places you are entering.

Then comes the Amethyst. A magical stone that destroys negative energy and transmits positive energy and security within us. It’s a stone that reflects pure,unconditional love, peace and lifts up the spirit.

Finalmente he terminado de arreglar estas fotitos que mencione en esta entrada pasada y estoy super feliz!!

Escogi este collar para esta entrada porque cuando estaba leyendo sobre las piedras y sus significados, me engancho!

Primero, la Piedra Lunar. Famosa por reflejar nuestro ser interno. Tiene la facultad de cambiar la intensidad del color y su luminosidad dependiendo de nuestro estado de animo. Cuando estamos alrededor de un ambiente positivo, la piedra es de color azul o violeta. Cuando entramos en un ambiente negativo, la piedra se convierte en colores grises. Esta piedra es perfecta para detectar que animo tienes, en que situacion te encuentras y con que tipo de personas frequentas.

Segundo, Amatista. Una piedra realmente magica ya que es capaz de eliminar energias negativas y transmite buenas energias y seguridad. Es una piedra que refleja amo puro e incondicional, paz y levanta el espiritu.

This necklace is definitely an investment piece, I won’t lie but I do think it’s worth it. It’s special and it’s a piece can be worn for years and passed down to generations to come.

Este collar es definitivamente una inversion pero la verdad es que creo que vale la pena. Es una pieza especial que puede ser usada por anios y ademas puede ser pasada a nuevas generaciones.

Hi Good Morning!

It’s Sunday night right now and we just got home from the beach. We went to this very, very relaxed beach on the other side of Florida called Bonita Springs. I actually was expecting something else because I’m used to the beaches on the east side of Florida and was a little confused but it was pretty and awesome and relaxing. My instagram has a couple of pictures if you’d like to see what I’m talking about 🙂

I wore this I think to weeks ago to a little garage sale we were a part of. It started at 7am and ended at 1pm but as you can see it was a rainy day so we had to leave early  but it was still a great experience. I love waking up early haha.

Acabamos de regresar de la playa. Hoy fuimos a una playa del otro lado de Florida como para hacer algo diferente y en verdad me estaba esperando otro tipo de playa ya que estoy acostumbrada a las playas de lado Este de Florida. Fue la primera vez que fuimos a Bonita Springs y en verdad me termino gustando muchisimo porque era super linda y demasiado relajante jajaja en mi instagram hay algunas fotos si quieren ver de lo que estoy hablando 🙂

Hace un par de semana fuimos parte de un garage sale que comenzaba a las 7am y terminaba a la 1pm pero como pueden ver el dia no estaba nada lindo entonces nos tuvimos que ir temprano. No importa, igual me gusto haber ido. Me gusta desptertarme temprano jaaja

Blogger Love: Olia Majd

Hello Beauties!

I’ve been in a little rut this week with lots of things happening around me but it’s FRIDAY and I just couldn’t pass on this post because it means so much to me.

I stumbled upon Olia’s blog, Love, Olia a little while ago and I loved it immediately because of how happy she looked in her pictures! Of course, I also loved her style because it’s casual but very very cute and lady-like. She always incorporates elegance into her looks, which is something I adore.

Well, I started talking to her and I was really, really happy because she’s the nicest girl ever! Anyway, I haven’t met her in person but I’m sure she will be just as amazing.

I did a little interview just to get to know her a little better and this is what I found out!

Dedicated, Loving, Hard Working (okay, that’s two words 😉 )

2. . Do you have a full-time job? If so, how do you manage to blog at the same time

Yes, I have a full time job. Somehow I manage to blog at the same time! I’m not going to lie, its a LOT of work but I love blogging so much that I look at it as a release and enjoy putting in the hours aside from my day job.

3. Casual or lady-like?

I’m very much lady like!

4. Prints or textures?

Prints. I love fun prints and trying to wear them without it being too overbearing. Not enough women wear enough of them!

5. Where would you like to go, next?

I have a dream or hope that blogging will soon become my full time job. Lets cross out fingers!

 

After thoughts: 

Loving and hardworking: yes! I can see that in every post. Also, crossing my fingers that blogging will end up being her full-time job… she deserves it!
