A Day in Androbel: Stones & Energies

Hello!

Yes!! I have finally been able to finish these pictures and descriptions for the store that I mentioned on this post, and I’m so happy about it!

I picked this necklace to show on the blog today because as I fell in love with the meaning of the stones.

First, the Moon Stone. Famous for reflecting our internal being. The color and luminosity of the stone changes depending on our emotional state. When around positivism the stone reflects a blue or violet color but when entering a negative place or mood it turns towards grayish colors. This stone is perfect to detect the kind of mood you are in, the type of people you surround yourself with and the places you are entering.

Then comes the Amethyst. A magical stone that destroys negative energy and transmits positive energy and security within us. It’s a stone that reflects pure,unconditional love, peace and lifts up the spirit.

Escogi este collar para esta entrada porque cuando estaba leyendo sobre las piedras y sus significados, me engancho!

Primero, la Piedra Lunar. Famosa por reflejar nuestro ser interno. Tiene la facultad de cambiar la intensidad del color y su luminosidad dependiendo de nuestro estado de animo. Cuando estamos alrededor de un ambiente positivo, la piedra es de color azul o violeta. Cuando entramos en un ambiente negativo, la piedra se convierte en colores grises. Esta piedra es perfecta para detectar que animo tienes, en que situacion te encuentras y con que tipo de personas frequentas.

Segundo, Amatista. Una piedra realmente magica ya que es capaz de eliminar energias negativas y transmite buenas energias y seguridad. Es una piedra que refleja amo puro e incondicional, paz y levanta el espiritu.

This necklace is definitely an investment piece, I won’t lie but I do think it’s worth it. It’s special and it’s a piece can be worn for years and passed down to generations to come.

Este collar es definitivamente una inversion pero la verdad es que creo que vale la pena. Es una pieza especial que puede ser usada por anios y ademas puede ser pasada a nuevas generaciones.

Into the Woods

Monday: Hello!

Went to sleep at 10:30 pm last night and it felt great. Haven’t done that in a long time and I can say I feel rested. So, hopefully this will be a good week 🙂

These pictures are from last Thursday which was the 1st day of Spring but since the days get really warm really fast down here in Florida I thought I could give my cool pants another day. Actually, I’m going to wear them more because they are actually not thick so they work for warmer days too and I loveee the stripes. I was going to wear them with this kimono but realized it would make a “too dark” outfit and I’m actually not that edgy. This is me being, fake edgy haha.

Anyway, Thursday was a cute day. I had Brazilian food with Luis and then we just chilled, talked and just hung out 🙂

Lunes: Holaa!

Anoche me fui a dormir a las 10:30 pm y se sintio riquisimo. Hace mucho tiempo que no me iba a dormir tan temprano pero lo necesitaba y ahora en verdad siento que he descansado un poco 🙂

Este look es del Jueves el cual fue el primer dia de Primavera pero como aqui en Florida el calor llega demasiado rapido pense en usar mis jeans super cool una ultima vez. La verdad es que despues de usarlos me di cuenta que los podre usar aun mas porque no son nada gruesos entonces no  dan calor. yay! Menos mal, porque me facinan las rayas. Iba a usar este kimono ese dia pero cuando me lo puse me di cuenta que hacia el look muy, muy oscuro y la verdad es que tampoco soy taaan “edgy”. Es mas, esta soy yo tratando de verme cool con mis jeans y botitas jajaja

Pero bueno, ese dia fue super lindo fuimos a comer comida Brazilera con Luis y despues solo chilleamos 🙂

Surprise!

Hi! 

 I’ve been waiting some time to write this but, here it is! 

Can’t believe how time flies and how life can change so quickly. Over a year ago I opened my online boutique and although it has been a long and tough road, I’m happy to have done it, I’m happy I’m still doing it and I’m happy for the new things coming.

Well, let me tell you a little story. Luis and I have teamed up and we are starting a fun new project! He’s from Guatemala so we will be bringing you guys awesome, artisan products woohoo! Although my style is a little more classic, I do love all of these handmade products because of the design, color and texture. If you follow me on Instagram you probably have already seen the bag Luis got me for Christmas (if not, click here) isn’t it a beauty?! Well, it’s things like that we will be offering the world now (b/c they are so beautiful!), along with another great thing but I’ll keep that surprise for latersss 🙂

He estado esperando un tiempito para escribir esto pero aqui esta! Es increible como el tiempo pasa y la vida puede cambiar tan rapido. Hace un poco mas de un anio abri mi tienda por internet y en verdad aunque ha sido un largo camino y aveces dolorso no me arrepiento y estoy feliz de haberla abierto, estoy feliz de continuar teniendola y estoy feliz por las nuevas cosas por venir!

Dejenme contarles una mini historia. Luis y yo nos hemos juntado para comenzar un nuevo proyecto! Como algunos saben el es de Guatemala entonces vamos a traerles productos artesanales wohooo! Todos estos productos que son hechos a mano me encantan por los colores, los disenos y las texturas 🙂 Si es que me siguen en Instagram habran podido ver la cartera que me regalo Luis por Navidad (si no, mirenla aqui) que cool es no?!! Bueno, son cosas asi que vamos a ofrecerles al mundo porque la verdad es que son hermosos. Aparte de los productos, tenemos otra sorpresita pero esa vendra despues 🙂

Hello Hello! 

As you already know, I’ve been working in fixing the look of the store. Last weekend, we shot some pictures because I also want to change the pictures of the products. For a while I have been thinking about this change; when I first opened the store I did everything by the book because it is a business and I thought things had to be done a certain way and in a way they do have be done a certain way but they also have to reflect the culture, the feeling, the owner and I wasn’t doing a very good job at that. So, here is my attempt at making things more “me”. Everything hasn’t been fixed yet but soon it will be. Estas fotos las tomamos la semana pasada pero no habia podido subirlas al blog. Como ya saben, estoy tratando de cambiar un poco mi tienda porque en verdad ya no me estaba gustando mucho. Cuando recien abri la tienda hice todo al pie de la letra porque pensaba que todo tenia que hacerse asi para que funcione. En verdad, si hay cosas que se tienen que hacer exactamente como dicen los libros pero hay otras que tienen que ser mas personal. Book Review: The Last Lecture

Hi! 

As some of you may know, I have been reading this book for a while now (link) but I have finally finished it!! The truth is, I really enjoy reading but with a full-time job, grad school and Androbel, sometimes I can’t find the time. Anyway, this is a book review entry so let’s get to the point. 

I classify this book as a “Life” book; everyone should read it. Whether you are a teenager, a young adult, and adult or elderly, this book will change your life or your perspective of life. 

I’m not going to die into details about the book because I would run it for the new readers but I have to say, if you plan on achieving your dreams and living a happy, happy life (I mean, who doesn’t?) you should go get a copy now.

As usual, these are some of my favorite quotations. I hope they resonate with you as they did with me. 

* ” Just because you’re in the driver’s seat, doesn’t mean you have to run people over.” Some people will end up having more power over others whether at work or at home but it doesn’t mean you have to dictate their lives. Stay humble. 

* “When you’re screwing up and nobody says anything to you anymore, that means they’ve given up on you.” Some people take offense when someone corrects them; let go of your ego and accept it because most of the time it is constructive criticism. If it’s not, use it as motivation. 

* “Love will win out” Love always wins, just be patient

Hi! 

Quick outfit post today. On Sunday I was taking pictures for the store and then went for a quick lunch/dinner with my mom and sister. It was hot in South Florida so I wore my denim shorts. I really like that they are stretchy and the was is pretty cool. 

Hope everyone’s week is awesome! I’m working on the website a lot this week.

Un post corto sobre mi outfit. El domingo tome fotos para la pagina porque la estoy intentando cambiar un poco. Cuando termine fui a comer con mi mama y hermana y como aqui en el sur de la Florida no hace nada de frio me puse mis shorts de jean! Me encantan los shorts porque son stretch entonces no apretan para nada y tambien me parece que el destenido es super cool. 

Espero que todos esten teniendo una buena semana. Esta semana estare trabajando mucho en la pagina porque hay muchos cambios que quiero hacer.

Music Monday

Good Morning!! 

Every Monday we should wake up with happy thoughts and full of energy. My sister recommended me this song and although it’s not my go-to kind music rhythm(something my bf would also like), I like it a lot. 

Some of my favorite lines are:

    And still the world will keep on spinning around 

*  Hold on let go 

    Either way we are all part of the show 

Point is, the world doesn’t stop because you stop, the world doesn’t cry because you cry. Pick up everything you have in your life and keep moving forward.

Hi! 

 I went to sleep at 2am yesterday because I was working and then brainstorming. We have some plans ahead of us and I’m excited 🙂 These pictures my sister took of me where right during the Holidays and it’s almost like an Androbel ad, everything is Androbel except for the heels :). 

The Pants: I call them legging pants because they can serve both purposes. I wore them as leggings in Colorado (here) but as pants on these pictures. The sliver boot cut makes them not your average black pants. 

The Top: Ok, it looks like a basic scoop neck top from in front but once you turn around it goes from a basic to a sexy back because it’s sheer. 

The Necklace: Cool statement necklace made out of cork. Yes, Cork! Hand-made in Europe. Cork is natural, water-resistant, lightweight, stain proof and durable. I honestly, love everything about this necklace and I think the idea of using cork for jewelry is awesome.

Ayer me fui a dormir a las 2am porque estaba trabajando y de ahi pensando en nuevas cosas.Tenemos unos nuevos planes y estoy emocionada 🙂 Estas fotos las tomo mi hermana durante las mini vacaciones y es como si fuera un anuncio de Androbel porque todo lo que tengo puesto es Androbel 🙂 

Los Pantalones: Se los puede usar como leggings o como pantalaones normales. Cuando estuve en Colorado los use como leggings porque tenia botas altas (aqui) pero en estas fotos se los puede ver un poco mas elegantes por el corte de bota que tienen. 

La Camiseta: Parece una camiseta super basica por adelante pero si las vez por atras descubres que tambien puede ser una camiseta un poco sexy por su transparencia. Me encanta!

El Collar: Este collar esta hecho de corcho. Si, corcho! hecho a mano en Europa. Me encanta porque el corcho es natural, liviano, durable, anti manchas y resistente al agua. Cool, verdad?

Dance, Dance

“Dance with the one who Brung You”

As I try to create a culture around Androbel that doesn’t necessarily involve my entire personal live, I’m always looking for new things to talk about. As much as I try, I don’t think this blog will one day be 100% business just because I write it; my thoughts, my feelings, my taste and also because I’m Androbel’s owner therefore Androbel’s culture is created around my culture. 

Anyway, I’m reading this book called “The Last Lecture”, once I’m finished I will do a book review. During Christmas I was reading a little and this quote stuck with me…” Dance with the one who Brung You.”

What’s the meaning? Well, in my mind this quote goes hand in hand with respect and loyalty. Somehow I find myself thinking about respect a lot and I think it’s because each day I see less and less of it. We live in a world where everyone wants to succeed, everyone wants to be the best and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. If I want to do something, I’ll make sure I’m the very best at it, or at least close to the best. I have always led my life that way, in high school, in college and now in my new adult life. It gets harder as you get older or at least for the first couple of years, we’ll see, but respect is something I have never left behind. Respect and loyalty is what makes us the persons, who we want to be. 

It’s a fun quote with a deep meaning. Remember you are only as good as your word. This quote is relevant to every kind of relationship, whether it’s with  family, friends, lovers, acquaintances or business partners. 

If you really do go dancing though, make sure you dance with a cute dress too! 🙂
